<p>It takes a true genius to make filing interesting, and that pretty much sums up <a href="http://www.alessandrozambelli.it/home.html">Alessandro Zambelli</a>. Not to mention his Stack <a href="http://www.afurnitureblog.com/">storage system</a>.</p>
<p>Part of an exhibit in Milan Design Week, the Stack system boasts a hodgepodge of vintage filing cabinets, lockers, and cubbies encompassing the indifferent metal and almost-pretty colors reminiscent of days gone be. Even kids that have been stuffed in lockers will appreciate this one.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.afurnitureblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/storage-system.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-195" title="storage system" src="http://www.afurnitureblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/storage-system.jpg" alt="storage system" width="434" height="180" /></a></p>

<p>Setting up a bookcase is easy. Arrange all the books spines-out and right-side-up, add in bookends here and there, and alphabetize to taste.</p>
<p>But what if your bookcase didn&#8217;t look like a bookcase? What if it looked like a ceiling, a cozy hideaway, or a work of art? This effect is easier than it sounds — check out our three favorite innovative bookcase designs:</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.sakurah.net/collections/cave1.htm">CAVE</a> by Sakura Adachi</strong></p>
<p>Remember how it felt to read a book under the covers with a flashlight as a kid? You can feel just as cozy — but with slightly better light — in this innovated CAVE bookcase, featuring a built-in seating area. Plus, CAVE is double-sized, so you can place it against a wall or employ it instead as an unexpected partition.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.afurnitureblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/rafter-bookcase.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-76 alignnone" title="Rafter Books" src="http://www.afurnitureblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/rafter-bookcase-300x211.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="211" /></a></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/la/look/look-store-your-books-in-the-rafters-039700">Rafter Books</a> by Apartment Therapy</strong></p>
<p>Why buy a bookcase when your living space has storage built in? This creative solution allows homeowners to save money and space, and to showcase their literary preferences in a truly unique manner. Apartment Therapy recommends low ceilings on this one, so you can actually read the books without too much trouble.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.afurnitureblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/quadmain4.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-77 aligncenter" title="Quad" src="http://www.afurnitureblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/quadmain4-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="300" /></a></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.gnr8.biz/product_info.php?products_id=501">Quad</a> by Nauris Kalinauskas</strong></p>
<p>Whether you&#8217;re looking to store books, CDs, DVDs, or some combination, the funky Quad case has got your covered. With crazy angles and compartments of varying size, this baby has room for everything! The Quad is available in different sizes and colors for a truly personalized look.<br />
