Looking for something spectacular for your living room? Tired of the usual upstanding upholstery? Check out some of these crazy new art couches, inspired by everything from stuffed animals to natural scenes to modernist functionality!

The Teddy Bear Couch

This couch is both plush and comfortable, and a sweet nod to the comfy stuffed animal characters for our youth. The only downside is that you won’t be able to pick up and play with these little guys yourself. A great place to read Winnie-The-Pooh aloud to someone in your life who’s young or just young at heart!

The Mountain Couch

Live in a house set against a dramatic mountain backdrop and interested in bringing a little of your outdoors indoors? Or do you perhaps reside in flatter lands and miss some of that Rocky Mountain High? This couch will remind you of purple mountains’ majesty every time you come home! The rolling waterfall coming over the edge of the couch seat completes the effect and gives you something that will definitely have your visitors talking—and impressed!

The Itty Bitty Reading Light Couch

This couch is pure post-modern functionality, perfect for reading or working on any quiet evening pastime like knitting, crossword puzzles, home manicures, or more! Check out the glare-free options for laptop-friendly options.

Let’s talk about couches. Personally I like leather. It’s always cool, except in the summertime and you’re shirtless, but come on man, no one wants to see that and then you hear the sound it makes when you peel yourself off the couch when you decide to finally get up. Anyway, leather is nice. It kind of envelopes you in the way a beanbag does. And the kind that recline are even better. Who doesn’t like to put their feet up after a long hard day of work? The best ones though are the single seat recliner Lay-z-Boys. Oh yea, they don’t even have to be leather and you got me for life.

But if you’re into something a bit more formal I really like the L-shaped couch. That way you can generate more conversation than if everyone is just sitting in a line, craning their necks to look over at the person across the couch.

Or the love seat. A personal favorite of mine, especially on first dates.
And if you have a friend over, and there’s no room for him in your bed (why would there be?) just put him on the couch. Couches are great. If you don’t have one, or are in need of a new one, I’m jealous. I love couch shopping!
